The PM is about to press the accelerator on the sale of our land. Changes that will “streamline” applications from foreigners are in the pipeline. Pressure has gone on the PM, mostly from China - it wants NZ as its farm. Mr Key made promises in China. His Minister here has been talking to parties who want applications signed off quicker. We are kowtowing to them all. The Overseas Investment Office that handles applications from foreigners will be required to give applications a quicker turnaround. No government should submit to another country’s demands – it should only care about protecting and acting in the interests of Kiwis. How does the sale of a Kiwi-owned family farm to a foreign state-controlled company or a European investment group bring any more wealth to New Zealand? The profits flow out of this country.

HEY, IF YOU WIN $44 MILLION TONIGHT... Please consider a donation to HUHA!! We work so hard and achieve so much without any formal funding. All our donations come from NZer's who get and value what we do. We are so grateful for every dollar, but right now we have hundreds of animals in our care and our expenses are huge and to be honest we need some help. For instance, the rescue currently in operation of 47 farm dogs from a desperate situation is costing us more than $40k! And our much needed new shelter build is topping $1.8million. We know we can get there with your support. But wouldn't a smidgen of lotto money be amazing...not a hefty chunk just a smidge of the $44 million..we are very resourceful and anything but greedy! As you all know, no one at HUHA gets paid. We do what we do with passion and drive because we see a need. But this is a team effort and we absolutely couldn't do it without you on our team! PIC: One of our many happy endings! Elderly Fluff came to HUHA via the pound when her owners were unable to continue to care for her, or to pay her rego and vet bills. But $1000 and a lot of cuddles later, Fluff was finally desexed, had all rotten teeth (all of them!!) and a damaged eye removed as well as a necrotic piece of her vagina. Fluff is now living the dream with her new dad a very fit and active gentleman who enjoys taking her for walks to feed the ducks around his 11 acre property. We often get asked what is our favourate thing about rescue is...and without missing a beat we can say its watching lives turn around....and its not just the animals who have their lives flipped. Fluff just made one gorgeous but lonely gentleman extremely happy!! So if you do win Lotto tonight, please consider HUHA!! ______________________________________________ If you don't win Lotto tonight (Bummer!) you can still help because every little bit makes a big difference! To donate $3 Please txt "huha" to 4463 or https://www.facebook.com/HelpingYouHelpA…/…/137541772984354/ or MAKE A DONATION: HUHA (Helping You Help Animals) Charitable Trust ANZ 06 0529 0764879 00

I'm going through another self-loathing phase. Why do we women feel so much pressure to be a certain way? I hate myself for not exercising at the moment, drinking milky coffee and wine, and eating bread. WHY CAN'T I HAVE FUN AND LOVE MYSELF AT THE SAME TIME? #FirstGirlProblems
How good does this look. I can not wait. co-written by Taika Waititi (Boy). The story is billed as a "mythic adventure", set in the South Pacific 2,000 years ago. Follows a young girl who sets out to find a fabled island, joined by Pacific demi-god Maui (voiced by Dwayne Johnson).
Johnny you prick.. every Johnny is getting grilled by their partners right now haha
"HAVE YOU SEEN MY BOYFRIEND?!
Please Help and SHARE !!! It's been almost two weeks with no reply from him. I'm sick, exhausted and have just found out... I'm pregnant. He's deactivated his FB and his number no longer works! If you know where he is or you've seen someone who matches his description, please message me, or better yet share this post so he might see this!!! If he's not in Auckland, he's most likely in Australia somewhere (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane).
On Wednesday I travelled to Ottawa to make contact on behalf of UNDP with the new government. Canada is a big supporter of UNDP and provides significant funding every year. It was a pleasure to meet the new Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, International Development and Francophonie Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau, and Environment and Climate Change Minister Catherine McKenna. Looking forward to working closely with Canada on the new Sustainable Development Goals, climate action, and on support for those impacted by the Syria crisis. Already Canada has provided significant funding for United Nations Development Programme - UNDP to improve waste management in northern Jordan, an area host to many refugees. In PM Trudeau's Cabinet, women make up 50% of the ministry. When asked why last year, the PM said "Because it's 2015".
Bill English talks about young Kiwis being “pretty damned hopeless” and not being able to read and write. He’s talking about farm work but his comments reflect a government that has abandoned the young. Over 70,000 are drifting, without jobs. Instead, the government leans on “permissive” immigration to fill vacancies. It’s shallow, a quick fix. Instead of dumping on the young he should do his job. The education system his government has overseen for seven years has failed these young people. He’s failed them by not putting in schemes to get them work ready, and he’s failed the next generation as well. Families around NZ want their kids in jobs. Putting the gumboot into young New Zealanders is no solution.
