NZ Farming Earthquake Emergency Fund. The NZ Farming Community is New Zealands Largest Agricultural based Farming Community.
Following the 7.5 Magnitude Earthquake devastating the top of the south and bottom of the North Islands. Tyler, (Founder of NZ Farming) has gathered a few friends (Josh Tomlinson-Nott and Michael Kerr), these guys are builders and are simply driving around the effected area's offering help in return for gas money to reach the next job. As you can imagine this is a huge task and they simply need help for building supplies etc, we have already had a heap of messages from followers from here & overseas wanting to chip in to help the boys with their journey, we are humbled & touched the little bit we're trying to do so thank you to for the support! If you would like to contribute man power to this effort please contact us so we can get more volunteers involved as well.
Donations left over will then be used to fund care packages as such that will be sent to the most effected areas.
NZ Farming will continue to provide updates as Tyler moves throughout the region as communications are available
Donations to be made via https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/earthquakenzf
Cheers Team, stay safe & do what you can to help someone else out
I'm still sad that I had to cancel my book tour, but I had the chance to leave about 40 signed copies of Life on The Edge at Whitcoulls, Queenstown today! (I'm here supporting Dom for the marathon tomorrow) I have left a few signed copies in various places around NZ. You can see where on my NOTES page. In other news.... I am feeling much better and hope to return to work really soon! Thank you for your love and kind messages. Xxxxxxxxxx
Wellington Sevens is dying and at risk of being lost overseas because the Nanny State National Government doesn’t approve of Kiwis having fun.
Wellington Sevens used to have sell-out crowds, people let their hair down and had a lot of fun, but since Draconian security measures were introduced, no-one wants to go.
At the end of the day what people wanted and enjoyed was a lively weekend with friends, dressing up in funny costumes and having a hell of a party with 30,000 other people. Anyone that thinks different is naive.
Now we're being told having fun like that is wrong.
Provincial NZ is feeling the brunt too of the heavy-handed approach. Race days are being killed off through excessive restrictions and the ‘Fun Police’ did a brilliant job of ruining Toast Martinborough for a lot of the public a few months back.
The solution is to bring back the drunk and disorderly law – the Police Offences Act 1927 – which stated anyone drunk in a public place committed an offence.
We would ensure organisers have security to enforce the law against this small number of reprobates who are ruining the fun for communities all over the country.
The pathetic number of spectators at the Cake Tin over the weekend shows things have just gone too far – we can’t let the Wellington Sevens be lost overseas just because of PC wowsers.
