In my two hour #Helen4SG session with the UN General Assembly on Thursday, I made a ten minute statement , and then had 88 questions put to me. The questions were very wideranging, covering all aspects of the UN's work and mandate. I've tweeted a lot of it on @Helen4SG #Helen4SG. The horrible truth behind marshmallow farmers. Now that they are fat from grazing all summer, they will be slaughtered to make smaller ones, bagged and sold in stores. Some are cut up and held over a fire while still alive! Remember that golden brown is the only humane way.
The Hurricanes could not be prouder of Ma'a Nonu who has been named as the 2016 Wellington Sportsperson of the Year. Firstly, congratulations to all the finalists and winners across all categories at the Wellington Sportsperson of the Year Awards tonight. Ma'a's award comes at the end of an outstanding 12 month period that saw him propel the Hurricanes into the Super Rugby 2015 final, then play an influential role in helping the All Blacks win the Rugby World Cup, including a spectacular 50m try in the final. In December he was named New Zealand Rugby’s Player of the Year. To a player who has worn the Hurricanes jersey more than 100 times and always with immense pride, this award could not be more deserving. Well done Ma'a from everyone at the Hurricanes. Congrats also to the 2015 Hurricanes team, head coach Chris Boyd and Nehe Milner Skudder who were all finalists for awards.http://www.hurricanes.co.nz/the-canes/news/single/item/nonu-scoops-2016-wellington-sportsperson-of-the-year-award/

This is easily a top 5 parenting moment. Indie loooooves #Pokemon & after watching the first 55 episodes we've got our #TeamRocket intro sorted. And we've even managed to get our own little Meowth to remember her lines. I'm not crying. It's the pollen. It's everywhere. It's the season. via @vaughanonymous on IG

The Forbes annual ranking of the world's most powerful women came out yesterday - pleased to report that I'm on it as number 22. I've featured on it for many years as first New Zealand Prime Minister, and then as UNDP Administrator. Both positions have given me a platform from which to advocate and work for people and our planet - I'm passionate about human and sustainable development, and now seek to apply my energies to being the next United Nations Secretary General. Follow me on Twitter and Instagram @Helen4SG #Helen4SG, and on Helen4SG on Snapchat. This personal Facebook will also continue to have campaign-related posts, and my @helenclarkundp Twitter and Instagram sites will update on my UNDP work and related issues. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/politics/news/article.cfm?c_id=280&objectid=11651890
A massive shout out goes to Tim Dodge of Dodge Contracting, Hawkes Bay. When he got wind that there was a bit of a mess down here, he phoned the mainland to offer a hand and was told by some cheesedick official he wouldn't be required. So like many recovery volunteers, said ''f@ck it'', and came down anyway. Tim loaded 2 diggers onto his Truck and caught the first Ferry south and has been absolutely pumping the last 10 days clearing tracks, repairing culverts and being an all around good c@nt. Even more impressive is the bugger won't take a cent for it! Tim wraps up down here this week then heads home again in the next few days. If you see him on the road give him a wave and a toot.
