John Key and his National government are gambling away our future in the TPPA, so it’s appropriate they’re signing it at a casino on February 4. The PM has been acting like a cardsharp believing when he signs the TPPA that he has all the aces in his hand. But he doesn’t. TPPA has deep and worrying implications for New Zealand with as much certainty of success as a go at the roulette wheel. Yet our prime minister is more interested in grandstanding with overseas trade ministers in an Auckland casino run by his favoured corporate mates than showing concern for any dire consequences such a deal will have on this country.
For 4 straight hours today I didn't move. I didn't dare. I stayed completely still while my little Havana lay on my chest. I didn't make it to the shower until 3pm. I didn't get the million things done that I needed to do today. I didn't tidy the house and prepare everything for Demi's party tomorrow. I didn't move. For 4 hrs. Because early this morning my baby wouldn't sleep, she just kept crying in her cot. As a third baby she gets rushed from place to place and doesn't have as much time with her mummy as the first one did. So when she fell asleep on me today I didn't move. I didn't dare. I just lay there and watched 4 episodes of greys anatomy. Thinking of everything I should be doing, but knowing there is not a single one that would be better than this. The best Saturday ever 💗💗
