I grew up in MANGERE, during a time when everyone treated each other like Family. 👫 We went outside to play🌳, we got dirty and we didn't eat fast food🍟🍔....we ate sandwiches🍞, home-cooked meals🍛 and got ice cream from Mr Whippy🍦. We played Rugby, Touch🙈, Tag✋🏸Cricket 🏏, BULL RUSH and raced against each other🏁🏃 in the street. There was no bottled water🍶, we drank water from the hose🚰. We watched cartoons on Saturday mornings📺and rode our bikes 🚲 for hours. There was no such thing as a cellphone or any other electronic device 📵. We weren't AFRAID OF ANYTHING. If someone had a fight, that's what it was...a fist fight👊. Kids didn't have guns🔫 when I grew up. The street lights 💡was our curfew. School was mandatory✏️📒. We watched our mouths around our elders👴🏼👵🏼because we knew If you DISRESPECTED any grown up you're gonna get it with whatever's close👞👠👜🏏... Like if you're proud 👉😁 that you came from a close knit community 👭👬👫and will never forget where you came from!
Today 6 days after the 120sec that changed our lives we decided to journey off the Kaikoura coast and look for our taonga and whanau the Tohora, im sure you can appreciate the huge excitement when we found him. What an amazing sight to see that our Tohora is still with us. If you ever thought all the Trump/Hitler references were over the top, left wing nonsense... watch this video.
Utterly utterly chilling. It's like 1938 in colour.
The only thing which gives me hope are the people who turn up to his events to protest, like the person in the back of this shot with the 'Trump is Hate' sign, or the people assaulted inside the rallies for speaking out against Trump's vile messages. That's an incredibly brave thing to do when you look at the violence and vitriol which characterise Trump's events.
Courage, the real kind of courage... the put your body on the line for what's right kind of courage... is still to be seen in abundance in America.
So from the rest of the world to those brave souls standing squarely in the face of this ignorant, bigoted, racist, misogynistic, hatred-filled man and his equally hatred-filled supporters, we salute you, and we thank you.
WOMEN’S WELLNESS VIDEO - Watch the first 45 minutes below.
For many of us the food choices we make and the exercise we do are only part of the wellness puzzle. For women in particular, there is something that plays a much greater role in determining body composition, energy, sleep and mood. It’s your hormones.
Earlier this year, Ben ran a series of talks about essential health and wellness for women in the modern world. We filmed this event in the hope of making this information accessible to as many people as possible. Both men and women have found this content invaluable. Many men have told us they now feel better able to support their wives, partners and daughters.
Feedback to the event has been overwhelmingly positive with many people wanting to know how they could send the information to friends and loved ones. For this reason we’ve got the first 45 minutes of the seminar for you to view. In this video Ben will cover how men and women are different, common signs of hormonal imbalance in women, inflammatory foods such as refined grains and sugar and how these affect our hormones and what foods we need to be eating to support hormonal health.
Set aside 45 minutes to watch this vital information when you can.

As I'm sure you all know I've given up the travelling parenting talks I've been doing around the country for the last ten years so I can spend more time with my own kids. Time is precious and time with your kids is the most precious kind of time there is. The thing is I know there are lots of people struggling with the everyday parenting stuff and that got me thinking about what I could do in place of the parenting shows.
Then the other day I thought about this whole internet thing, and I had an idea.
What if we made a website where I launched a whole series of professionally made, broadcast quality videos looking at the whole parenting thing, starting from the nerves around getting ready for the first one arriving, all the way through to teenagers and out the other side? Is that something you all think would he helpful? I'd even be wanting to include interviews with experts on all aspects of parenting from diet to education. This would be like our own parenting TV channel.
We'd be wanting to do this properly, not filmed on an iPhone, but the same kind of production values you all saw on shows like 'The Hard Stuff'. Obviously that's really expensive to make but we'd be looking at some corporate sponsorship to keep the costs down for everyday families (hopefully somewhere around $4.95 a week), and the plan is to add two new videos every single week.
So what do you all think? Would that be something anyone would be interested in? And what kinds of issues would you want us to look at? I've already got a huge list but always want to hear what you all think.
Hi Roadies, many of you have read our open letter to Fonterra in today’s NZ Herald & we are humbled by your support. We strongly believe NZers deserve choice, & a level playing field. We respect Fonterra & the important role they play in NZ’s economy & all we ask is that they play fairly.
"They're your kids. You love them and then you can't stand them sometimes..." Watch Kate Hudson describe the joys of parenthood to Stephen Colbert. Tag your friends if you think they'll get a kick out of Kate's brutal honesty. This is just too funny!
