Hey Guys, on a bit of a side note I'd like to let you know that we at the Page are always up for a yarn if there's anything you want to get off your chest. We have a 10 man strong administration team made up of both men and women involved in almost every aspect of the ag sector so can relate to most things. 2 kiwis end their own lives every day in NZ which absolutely wrecks me as I know many of these people were Father's, Mothers and Partners of people who potentially follow the Page. In reality Farmers live in a pretty small Village so each and every one of you is a critical component of what is arguably one of the best industries around. We're a hardcase bunch and I'm bloody proud to be able to get to meet many of you and share the challenges and elation that each day brings. Look out for each other and take the time to keep in touch with people as you never know when they're having a rough day.
Where's all the Silvia / SX's at? We have had a great selection of cars enter to join Nissan's VIP Display at Leadfoot Festival 2017 which is awesome. Not many Silvia / SX's though. Visit www.nissanleadfoot.co.nz and send us the details of your S12, S13, S14, S15's. Come on don't be shy!
“If someone asked, ‘What are your films like?’, the best I can come up with is that they’re, like, a fine balance between comedy and drama. And they deal mainly with the clumsiness of humanity.” (and vampires).
This week, Farmers stores have hosted community Shave for a Cure events across the country! It’s not too late to donate, go in store to Farmers before the end of Sunday to make a donation to this incredible cause! http://farm.rs/2nd04xz
Our ancestors did not fight for our culture, our aiga, and our villages for us to give up.
Your grand-parents did not move from the islands, knowing nothing but their language with $50 in their pocket for you to have disrespect towards your elders, have fights, and have the mindset that us as Polynesian people are only capable of working in a factory.
Your parents do not work a 9-5 job, to pay for your school fees that you never attend and to cater for your 'wants', rather than your 'needs'.
Just because we are brown, does not mean we are of the same worth as a paper bag.
I've seen so many people my age give up their future before it's even started. Because apparently, 'going with the flow' and 'being cool' is better than being focused on your future.
What we do now, has a HUGE impact on our future as adults; and our legacy as a Polynesian people is so strong, its literally so disrespectful to those before us, who FOUGHT for us, to have the mindset that we aren't smart enough, or driven enough, or pretty enough, to make it in this world.
If you have dreams, pursue them. Just because we are a minority, doesn't mean we can't make it! Sick of seeing poly teens who have SO much potential settle for less.
So study hard, spread love & positivity + make your family proud 🎓✨
love from, that poly girl whose trying to make a difference ❤️
