Jase is about to ring his mate Jack and ask if he’s going to be one of Jacks Groomsmen. Little does Jase know… PJ’s flown Jack across the ditch to deliver the answer himself. Classic stitch up from PJ! 😂
Its "Party Season", but times are tough and more often than not, both cash supply and drinks supply is very limited - so what do you do when you have a party to go to and your drinks & money supply is limited?? you stay home and watch Home n Away omnibus or you go to the party with your water bottle & you don't ever listen to a word we say :) #OneChillyBinLotsofIceButOneBeer
A toddler is quite capable of helping out with some chores like cleaning up their toys, putting their plate on the bench, even helping Mummy or Daddy with the vacuuming. Giving your toddler some tasks makes them feel empowered and part of the family. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this…

Life's path is never straight. There are uphill sections where we struggle and downhill sections where we coast and everything seems to flow nicely. There are sharp corners where we can't see what is around the bend, and unforeseen roadblocks and detours which force us to change our plans completely. Exercise is the same. The path to our fitness goals is never linear. There are plateaus, injuries and distractions which sap our energy and motivation and, at worst, make us question the journey itself. Just like in life, if we are too rigid with our plans it will fall apart at the first sharp bend or uphill section. This is especially true this time of year when we feel like we are pulled in a hundred different directions and distractions and temptations are everywhere. Expect the unexpected, anticipate and prepare for detours and road blocks. Keep an eye on the destination, but don't forget to enjoy the journey no matter where it takes you. The harder things get, the stronger we become!

As the year marches on and we're all feeling a little weary, here's a little something for a Wednesday afternoon from my book 'The Modern Family Survival Guide':
The obvious development of all this drive to find satisfaction in our families has been the development of a gold-standard family, the kind of family we should all aspire to be: The modern equivalent of the ideal Stepford wives. If you’re not familiar with the book, or the two subsequent films, this was basically a story where (spoiler alert!) the men in a town killed their wives and replaced them with robots who did everything the men wanted. I know — how could that go wrong? Except it did. Read the book or rent the DVD if you’re interested.
There is a modern equivalent, though, except this time they’re not robots. In fact, they’re supposed to be what we should all aspire to be. In this family there is a biological mum and a biological dad with two children, ideally a boy and a girl, who live bright and happy lives. The husband and the wife are attuned to each other in every way: emotionally, spiritually, sexually, and financially. He often surprises her with flowers, poems, and thoughtful gestures. She looks after her man, but at the same time has a career of her own. She’s just as successful at work as she is at home. They both have career goals and regularly review them. Work isn’t a chore; it’s a passion. They are spontaneous and fun, and deeply involved. They love each other just as much now as they did when they first met. They have lots of sex, and it’s great sex as well. They spend quality time with each other, and with their children. The children themselves are shining examples of emotional adjustment. They have always had lots of bedtime stories. They empathise with each other. The kids never get angry: they talk about their feelings. They do great in school, because education is valued in this house and there is always someone there to help with homework. They never play with violent toys like guns or Xbox video games. The kids don’t eat sugary stuff or junk food, and they don’t watch more than an hour a day of television a day. As many times a year as they can, they all go away on camping holidays by perfect beaches in brilliant weather. They all wear sunblock and a hat. When they’re at home they like nothing more than going for family walks, throwing balls in the backyard, water fights, and jolly good times. Often they will go out and do acts of charity as a family, because the parents want their kids to understand that helping other people is important, and besides . . . the kids just love going down to help at the homeless shelter. Life is just peachy. And all their neighbours want to fucking kill them. You see, their neighbours are normal people. They’re good people, but they’re normal, which means they’re flawed and imperfect in a number of ways. The constant hovering presence of the Stepford family in their lives is like a grinding weight about their necks. They simply don’t have the energy or time to do and be all of these things, and so their repeated failures as couples and parents are constantly waved in their faces. The Stepford family makes them depressed, and stressed, and unhappy.
