We've had a huge response to last night's story on Cliff, Marita and Johnny. Many of you want to donate to the family. Cliff usually turns down those offers - but he has reluctantly agreed to allow Marita and Johnny's trustees to set up a Givealittle page: https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/cheer4robinsons
For those of you who have asked to send a present to Marita and Johnny, you can mail to SUNDAY and we'll pass it on. Address: Kim Peacock, SUNDAY Producer, TVNZ, PO Box 3819, Auckland.
Cliff is grateful for your lovely feedback, and says he can't understand why a "working class bugger" like him is receiving so much attention.
I agree with the other 100,000 plus people that went to see Adele in Auckland - she is truly incredible! Tonight was her 119th show on this tour. Tonight was her last tour show - she's home to England to do her final 4. This was the first time she'd ever performed in the rain. Someone in the crowd gave her this poncho and she put it on. She sang in the pouring rain which mad sitting in the rain watching way easier. Her voice did not fault her once! Me and my girlfriend are going to visit the hairdressers this week and ask for Adele haircuts! 😂 She is just WOW! Stunning AF! (Even in the pouring rain and in a poncho!)
Happy Monday! It's seems fitting to post this great pic of the Art Deco Festival action, taken yesterday by Tim Whittaker Photographer. Doesn't Napier look fantastic? #getmetohawkesbay #artdecofest2017
We’re determined to get young people “work ready”. There’s 91,000 out of work. Many are school drop outs. They have no direction. They need jobs, but have no skills. Our new bill to be debated in Parliament aims to turn them around. We want these young people to be trained in the army – in literacy and numeracy and in the trades. They’ll be employed as they learn. At 18 they will leave with skills. If other parties believe in giving younger generations a chance they will back our Bill.
You can read the Bill at: https://www.parliament.nz/en/pb/bills-and-laws/proposed-members-bills/document/51HOH_MEMBILL248_1/youth-employment-training-and-education-bill#RelatedAnchor
