National should hang its head in shame for deporting Indian students. The fault for corruption in the Export Education sector lies at the feet of Minister Steven Joyce, not the students. The students are the victims. Mr Joyce and National pumped up the industry so private enterprise could profit. He ignored the need to set up standards and a full-proof system. The mighty dollar was the only priority. Now the truth has come out and National is passing the buck by deporting students who have been taken to the cleaners by corrupt agents. It's time for a full-scale investigation into Export Education fraud.
This is one of my favourite photos. It was taken at Mikes 50th birthday. I'm sharing this photo with you all because right now Mike is going through a very difficult time. I know how much he wants to help everyone, sometimes to the detriment of his own health. I know how much he gives & gives & gives.
Again, why am I sharing this with you all?
Because Mike is human & right now he's hurting.
His mum passed away last year. And as I write this, Mike is with his terminally ill dad in Christchurch. And yet he still wanted to do the radio show tonight. Smiles sometimes mask the deepest hurt.
I don't mind admitting I love Mike King like a brother. He's not perfect and neither am I. I just felt it important for everyone to know what's happening in Mikes life right now. :) kindest, Boris

We've had a huge response to last night's story on Cliff, Marita and Johnny. Many of you want to donate to the family. Cliff usually turns down those offers - but he has reluctantly agreed to allow Marita and Johnny's trustees to set up a Givealittle page: https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/cheer4robinsons
For those of you who have asked to send a present to Marita and Johnny, you can mail to SUNDAY and we'll pass it on. Address: Kim Peacock, SUNDAY Producer, TVNZ, PO Box 3819, Auckland.
Cliff is grateful for your lovely feedback, and says he can't understand why a "working class bugger" like him is receiving so much attention.
