Hey Everyone - I know my posts have been a bit dark and bleek lately and definitely not motivating but for those not aware I'm battling a bit of depression at the moment (as mentioned a few posts down the page) and I made the decision to share this journey publicly with the hope it helps others deal with and understand depression. There is such a terrible stigma around depression and many people feel ashamed knowing they live with it, I'm just using this moment in my journey to help try and change that. ME - I'm doing ok. Days are up and down, hours are good and bad. I spent most of the day in bed today, hiding from the world, turned down visits from my friends and did nothing (I'm lucky I have a flexible job that allows this) but hiding from the world is not a bad thing right? I know it won't be for days - just a day to do absolutely nothing with no one. I'm allowing myself to sit in some of the down moments (as uncomfortable and dark as they are) I feel these are times I need to pass through, look for any lessons and learnings and work through. I have had hundreds of messages from amazing people sharing their experiences, views, ideas, coping ideas and suggestions- all of which I really appreciate (sorry if I have not replied to your message tho) I'm thinking about medication options but will see how I feel next week as I have some plans in place this week that I'm hoping will get me back on track. My Plans: - My hired exercycle bike arrived today. I'm GOING to get my ass on it as of tomorrow morning and cycle for at least 30mins daily (strengthen my injured knee ) - I've ordered 2 weeks worth of healthy meals to kick start and keep my clean eating on track for a bit. -I'm meeting with a swim coach on Friday to sign my daughter up for swim squad and ask if I can use the pool at the same time (as I'm thinking swimming will be good for my knee rehab to) - I've committed to a les mills grit strength class with 4 other girls on Saturday ( will do the low impact exercises) - I've cleared alot of meetings and events from my diary to create more down time and less pressure. -I'm meeting with 2 friends for lunch on Friday -And will get back to yoga and fit in what I can
Anyway that's a wee update, thought I'd share my plans as a way of accountability for me and that there will be more motivating posts on the way. Starting with my cycling in the morning - be sure to ask me how it was, I'll be on the bike from 7am - 7.30am 👌💜
A fun activity to do with your toddler on a hot summer’s day is to make homemade ice blocks. You can blend yoghurt with small pieces of fruit. Add your mixture to an ice block mould and a few hours later you can enjoy a delicious homemade treat.

Some Indian students are facing deportation after Immigration found their visa papers were fraudulent. We warned the government this would happen when they opened the floodgates and allowed unlicensed agents in other countries to tick off the visas. These con artists seized the opportunity and ripped off their own people. National has pushed for more foreign students to prop up the private training establishments profiting from international students. We got inundated with students when the government extended the hours foreign students can work here. Many students are mere pawns, and their families have borrowed big to get them here. If the students are deported the families face huge problems with money lenders. The industry is surviving on a substantial amount of fraud and NZ providing students with work. As a so-called export earner its earnings should be in foreign currency not NZ dollars. The guilt for the fraud and the deportations rests with the Prime Minster and his sordid Cabinet.
