And that's a wrap on preseason. Late surge from the NSW Waratahs had them leading with only 10 to go but #YourLanders came back to win 50-47! Bring on next week when we take on the Chiefs at Forsyth Barr Stadium on Friday 24 Feb - tickets available now www.ticketdirect.co.nz/highlanders #Highlandersandyou
I've had an emotional rollercoaster of a week, you wouldn't know it though because I'm not into letting the negative dictate my day, but shit I'm not going to lie it's been a bitch.... to anyone else who is having a hard week just remember the actions of others only says something about them, don't let them get you down for too long ❤ #staystrong

Jeepers creepers 😣 - I really want to swear but I've done too much of that lately - so that will be the extent of my potty mouth in this post! The amount of people that now think I'm rolling in millions of dollars, or prancing around town splashing cash or posting with a "look at all my money" vibe, since selling my businesses is ridiculous! Pull ya bloody heads in and get a clue would ya. You don't know me, you don't know where I've come from, what I've done, how hard I've worked or what I've sacrificed- you don't even know the value of the sales, so quit with the assumptions and give me a break. And while you are at it unfollow me, de-friend me and move on - I know not everyone likes me and that's fine, just walk or scroll on by 👋 Now I'm taking 10 big breathes and going on a shopping spree! Jokes I'm going for a shower!

How great is this story of an adopted 13-year-old cat who is obsessed with his new mum? Too cute.
If you're thinking of adopting a feline friend, why not consider a senior cat? Senior cats have a lot of love to give but are often overlooked in favour of kittens - this makes them all the more grateful to find a home. Another positive thing about adopting a senior cat is that their personality is already developed, so you’ll know if he or she is a good fit for your family. Plus they make great napping buddies!
If you're looking for the purr-fect companion, why not visit your local SPCA and adopt a senior cat. You can find the contact details of your local spca here: http://www.rnzspca.org.nz/contact-us/spca-locations
A big thank you to 9 year old Christchurch student Kieran for your very special poem! All the messages of support we have been getting are just amazing. Knowing this support is there will keep us going as firefighting crews continue the hard work to put this fire out.
A huge night for Hunt for the Wilderpeople at the New Zealand Film Awards last night! Congratulations to Taika Waititi, Sam Neill, Julian Dennison, Rima Te Wiata & the Visual Effects team for taking home the top awards! 🌳🐗🌿
Last week we found out that a listener friend of ours Waverney Bachelr from Palmerston North had been diagnosed with an inoperable cancer. Since Waverney is a Kardashains fan she wanted to have her own "Keeping Up With Waverney" weekend with her family.... #JDRdogooders
This morning, I announced that a Labour Government will inject up to $20 million into the Gisborne economy to support the local vision to construct a plant for prefabricated building materials.
This plan makes a lot of sense. Timber is one of the strengths of the Gisborne region’s economy, although at the moment, too many logs are shipped offshore without jobs and value created for locals.
At the same time, we’ve got a nationwide housing crisis, and in many regional areas like Gisborne, we have too many people out of work. Labour’s solution will tackle all of these issues.
Our plan for Gisborne will help us strengthen the prefabrication industry, and that’ll mean we can boost the industry’s ability to build houses at affordable prices. This will help us build 100,000 affordable homes for first home buyers and fix the housing crisis. It’s also a plan that'll create jobs and get people investing further in the local economy.
This is just one example of how Labour will support New Zealand's regions through our Regional Development Fund.
