"ok Jake," said the teacher, "I want you to make up a poem on the spot, and i want you to use the word pistol in it..thats pistol p-i-s-t-o-l."..Jake stood up proudly and said, "my father is a policeman, he wears a suit of blue, he has a set of handcuffs and he has a pistol too." he smiled, took a bow and then sat down.."very good Jake," smiled the teacher and then she looked around the room n noticed little Hori sitting in the corner picking his nose.."ok Hori," she said, "your turn." he stood up slowly, thought for a moment .. and then a big grin lit up his face.."k miss," he smiled, "my father's not a policeman, he has no suit of blue, he gets his dole at 9 oclock..and he's on the pis tol 2."
Do you have some large marbles at home? Line a large plastic container with paper and drop on blobs of non-toxic paint. Put in marbles, then help your toddler to roll the marbles around by moving the container. Watch the artwork form before your eyes.
Remember to supervise your toddler with this activity.
SORAT’H, FIFTH MEHL, THIRD HOUSE, CHAU-PADAS: ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU: Meeting with the council, my doubts were not dispelled. The chiefs did not give me satisfaction. I presented my dispute to the noblemen as well. But it was only settled by meeting with the King, my Lord. || 1 || Now, I do not go searching anywhere else, because I have met the Guru, the Lord of the Universe. || Pause || When I came to God’s Darbaar, His Holy Court, then all of my cries and complaints were settled. Now that I have attained what I had sought, where should I come and where should I go? || 2 || There, true justice is administered. There, the Lord Master and His disciple are one and the same. The Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, knows. Without our speaking, He understands. || 3 || He is the King of all places. There, the unstruck melody of the Shabad resounds. Of what use is cleverness when dealing with Him? Meeting with Him, O Nanak, one loses his self-conceit. || 4 || 1 || 51 ||

THIS SATURDAY will be our LAST SATURDAY in this building!! It's definitely the end of an era but the new venue (which opens the 27th Jan) has some awesome features we think you'll be excited about, including Air Conditioning (due to popular demand) and a new sound rig that will make the old one sound like a bee fart bouncing off wet pollen. Exciting times ahead but first we've got to see off the old venue in Bahama Hut fashion, see you SATURDAY

Despite the climate crisis, the risk of catastrophic oil spills and the immediate harm done to marine life, Statoil and Chevron are exploring for new oil at the invitation of the NZ Govt. Right now, two Greenpeace boats are on their way out to intercept. Click here to see how it unfolds: http://greenpeace.nz/live-feed
