Merry Christmas guys! Hope you have had/ are having a great day. Phew, after hosting 18 people I'm now curled on the couch with a cup of tea. Even though our turkey overcooked, the pav had cracks in it and red wine spilt on our new rug, it was so much fun (aaaaand there's leftover trifle for brekkie tomorrow...yuss!). How'd your day go? Ps. Thanks My Food Bag for the 👌feast 😋

#BOOM! It was a dream come true for these holidaymakers on Lake Tarawera near Rotorua: they started blasting SAM SMITH's music, knowing full-well the Grammy winner was on a boat just metres away from theirs. Then this happened.

Last year we ran this hard-hitting TV ad exposing the harm that industrial dairying does to New Zealand's rivers. In essence, the story it tells is this: Too many cows - on intensive irrigated industrial dairy farms - means our fresh water is being polluted to the point where most of our rivers are too polluted to swim in, let alone drink.
It really hit a nerve. The industrial dairy lobby group Dairy NZ tried to get the ad taken off air by making a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). But we fought it, and won.
The ASA ruled that our ad is ‘truthful and not misleading’.
We knew that, but it’s good to get the ruling, and it’s great to get all the extra coverage that comes with it. Once again the video is being viewed by lots more people, and many are joining our campaign to stop big irrigation which - if it goes ahead - will mean more cows and more polluted rivers.
Sign the petition here to join the campaign now http://greenpeace.nz/stop-river-pollution
The dairy industry is one of the most polluting industries in the country, yet industry bodies like Dairy NZ and Fed Farmers deny there’s a problem and actually intend on making it worse by increasing the number of cows and intensifying farming with massive irrigation projects planned all around New Zealand.
We need fewer cows, not more cows. The expansion and conversion of more land to dairying should stop immediately, the big new irrigation schemes such as Ruataniwha Dam in Hawkes Bay and the Huruni Water Project in Canterbury should be abandoned and the government must stop funding them with public cash. A shift to ecological farming is essential if we’re going to farm into the future.

BIHAAGRAA, FIFTH MEHL, CHHANT: Why are you imbued with thelove of another? That path is very dangerous. You are committing sins no one is your friend. No one shall be your friend;you shall regret and repent forever. You have not chanted with your tongue the Praises of the Lord of the World; when willthese days come again? The leaf, once separated from the branch, shall not join with it again; all alone, it falls on its way todeath. Prays Nanak, without the Lords Name, the soul wanders in suffering forever. || 1 || You are practicing deceptionsecretly, but the Lord, the Knower, knows all. When the Righteous Judge of Dharma reads your account, you shall be squeezedlike a sesame seed in the oil-press. For the actions you committed, you shall suffer in pain, O mortal being; you shall beconsigned to countless reincarnations. Emotionally attached to Maya, the great enticer, you shall lose this jewel of human life.Except for the Name of the One Lord, you are clever in everything else. Prays Nanak, those who have such pre-ordaineddestiny are attracted to doubt and emotional attachment. || 2 || No one advocates for the ungrateful person, who isseparated from the Lord. The hard-hearted Messengers of Death come and seize him. They seize him, and lead him away, topay for his evil deeds; he was imbued with Maya, the great enticer. He was not Gurmukh he did not chant the GloriousPraises of the Lord of the Universe; and now, the hot irons are put to his chest. He is ruined by sexual desire, anger andegotism; deprived of spiritual wisdom, he comes to regret. Prays Nanak, by his cursed destiny he has gone astray; with histongue, he does not chant the Name of the Lord. || 3 || Without You, God, no one is our savior and protector. It is YourNature, Lord, to save the sinners. O Savior of sinners, I have entered Your Sanctuary, O Lord and Master, CompassionateOcean of Mercy. Please, save me from the deep, dark pit, O Creator, Cherisher of all hearts. I seek Your Sanctuary; please, cutaway these heavy bonds, and give me the Support of the One Name.Prays Nanak, please give me Your Hand and save me, O Lord of the Universe, Merciful to the meek. || 4 || That day isjudged to be fruitful, when I met with the Lord God. Total happiness was revealed, and pain was taken far away. Intuitivepeace and poise, joy and eternal happiness come from constantly singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the World. Joiningthe Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I lovingly worship the Lord; I shall not wander again in reincarnation. He hashugged me close in His Loving Embrace, with intuitive ease, and the seed of my primal destiny has sprouted. Prays Nanak, HeHimself has met me; He shall never leave me again. || 5 || 4 || 7 ||

At the end of every year we go out for dinner and assess the year, then forward plan what we want to achieve next year. We have been blown away with how well 2016 has gone for us and Augustine. It's been massive to say the least. In most part that is due to you guys, your support and loyalty to Augustine and our brands overwhelms us and we are so very appreciative. Also to our 70 stockings around NZ who continue to buy our brands, your support is essential and we are grateful to every one.
Not to mention our sensational 30 staff who rock our world everyday.
This year we started a new label, opened a new shop, produced nearly 1000 different styles and had immense growth.
Personally we shifted house, shifted suburbs, kids started school and we had a new baby. Phew.
The plans we have for 2017 are just as exciting. Beginning with a new office that can fit all our staff and I will no longer have to share an office with Nathan and work off a tressel table.
We have plans for way more styles with small amounts of each produced to ensure we stay fresh and unique. Plus adding more staff to our growing team. We have plans for a new label. Plans for new and exciting things are can't begin to mention.
All in all it's exciting. And we thank you for continuing to be on this journey with us.
As we continue to dress the nation in more colour, more sparkle and more shimmer. Please note my dress tonight is navy not black haha.
